Today is National Tree Day. As such our Year 6 environment leaders along with their kindergarten buddies have been planting some ground cover in our front garden.
These plants were provided by Toni McHenry on behalf of Toyota.

On Friday July 25, Kindergarten celebrated their 100th Day of School. The Kinder classroom was taken over by a large number of 100 year olds who celebrated their learning journey in Kindergarten with a variety of 100-themed activities. We wrote 100 words, made sculptures from 100 blocks, used the Aging Booth app to see what we would look like when we are old, created a portrait of ourselves as 100 year olds and we even had a fashion parade to show off our outfits. Special thanks to all the volunteers who generously gave their time to help us make the day special for the children-we couldn't have done it without you! A huge thank you to our wonderful P and F for the beautiful gift they provided for each student as a special keepsake of this milestone. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to the Kindy parents for their efforts in dressing their children as 100 year olds and for coming along to celebrate this very special day with us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as the students did.

Well Done to Kayla R in Year 4! On Monday at Interschools she rode her pony across 3 events and received 9th place overall for the day out of 21 Kids. On Tuesday she competed in Dressage in the Primary Preparatory group competing both horses. She also received Reserve Champion across the day and received 6th placing across the day. Congratulations Kayla!

Today Year 3 went on an excursion to the Australian Museum in the city. They began the day by meeting a Gemologist and finding out all about their work at the museum. Then they explored the Minerals room. They worked in groups to find all the gems on their cards and answer the questions. Year 3 then explored some of the other areas of the museum and even stopped for a photo with a dinosaur! What a fun last day of term!

On Monday Year 6 made it just in time before the rain set in our sights to take part in running our house colour novelty relays. The whole school came to watch and cheer our Year 6 leaders on as they competed against each other. Congratulations to the Uluru house who won both the boys and girls relay races.
