The P&F would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your endless support in term 2.
It was a busy term with our amazing Fete, beautiful Mother's Day stall, supporting the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea, our ever popular Grandparents Day, the wonderful Book Fair and to end the term our first ever Mums and Sons night.
For all of you who were able to attend the Mums and Sons night we hope you had a great night interacting with your sons in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Nights like this would not be possible without our fantastic helpers... from the pre-planning of the night right through to the running the activities, cooking up an impressive BBQ and staying back to clean up so our thanks goes to Natalie Borg, Natalie Sykes, Althea D'Costa, Cheryl Freeburn, Linda Proud, Hayley Walton, Sonya Peters, Marissa Midgley, Paula Micaleff, Jo Randall, Catherine Watson, Gina Micallef, Anthony Flynn, Paul Bortolazzo, Brayden King, Jasmine Neal, Lillian Neal, Bethany Neal, Violet Neal, Aleah McNamee, Chloe Proud, Natasha Joseph, Kaiyen Biasi, Christina Giannacopoulos.

Celebrating 40 years of Voice of Youth and the power of student voice
Six Year 6 students from 58 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Primary schools came together at St John XXIII Catholic College Stanhope Gardens on 22 September for the Voice of Youth Grand Final, showcasing their public speaking skills through a series of thoughtful and engaging speeches.

🚀 Year 3 gets hands-on with physics! ⚙️ Our Year 3 scientists had an incredible time diving into the physical world during our Forces, Friction & Movement workshop on Monday 21st September with Fizzics Education! To support our NSW Science & Technology curriculum outcome—investigating how contact and non-contact forces affect an object’s motion (ST2-9PW-ST)—students spent the day testing, launching, spinning, and predicting how the world around us moves! 🧪✨ Here’s a peak at what our young physicists explored: 💨 Push, Pull & Friction: Tested how friction resists movement with the book pull-apart challenge, skateboard shuffles, and magnetic levitators. 🌀 Rotational Forces & Inertia: Mastered gyroscopes, space station twirls, self-siphoning inertia beads, and the iconic magic tablecloth pull! 🚀 Action & Reaction: Launched rockets, created air vortices with fog rings, and explored Newton's Laws of Motion in high-energy action. A massive thank you to Fizzics Education for such an interactive, high-energy, and memorable day of active learning! 👏

The War Memorial was such a special place to visit, where we could commemorate our soldiers who fought for Australia in many different wars. We saw some of the uniforms that soldiers wore, weapons they used and aircraft and boats they travelled in. We could have spent even more hours in there, we were so engaged. Parents and friends, be prepared to have students ask to come back and visit with the family!

Wow! Our Year 6 students represented St Mary MacKillop beautifully at the Parliament House. We started off our tour with a yummy frozen yoghurt followed by a guided walk and saw the House of Representatives and the House of Senate. We had such insightful questions that helped us deepen our knowledge of how parts of our government work. Time for lunch now and a bit of a play at the park with our friends before a drive down Anzac Parade and our final stop.. The War Memorial!
