The P&F would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your endless support in term 2.
It was a busy term with our amazing Fete, beautiful Mother's Day stall, supporting the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea, our ever popular Grandparents Day, the wonderful Book Fair and to end the term our first ever Mums and Sons night.
For all of you who were able to attend the Mums and Sons night we hope you had a great night interacting with your sons in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Nights like this would not be possible without our fantastic helpers... from the pre-planning of the night right through to the running the activities, cooking up an impressive BBQ and staying back to clean up so our thanks goes to Natalie Borg, Natalie Sykes, Althea D'Costa, Cheryl Freeburn, Linda Proud, Hayley Walton, Sonya Peters, Marissa Midgley, Paula Micaleff, Jo Randall, Catherine Watson, Gina Micallef, Anthony Flynn, Paul Bortolazzo, Brayden King, Jasmine Neal, Lillian Neal, Bethany Neal, Violet Neal, Aleah McNamee, Chloe Proud, Natasha Joseph, Kaiyen Biasi, Christina Giannacopoulos.

This week, our school community celebrated NAIDOC Week. NAIDOC week is the first week of the holidays. “Fifty Years of Deadly” (NAIDOC 2026 theme) marks a milestone. It’s a tribute to the people who built this movement: the Elders who stood firm, the organisers who made space, the artists who turned resistance into expression and the communities who keep showing up, year after year. To celebrate, grades read books, completed artworks, and other activities to learn more about this special celebration. Mr Buchan even organised a special event where we were able to have a Virtual Author Talk with Corey Tutt, who read two of his books with us and shared about his journey as an author.

This week, students in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed participating in a free OzTag clinic led by Blue Mountains OzTag coaches. Throughout the session, students developed their fundamental OzTag skills, including tagging, passing, evading and teamwork.

This morning, our Year 3 students had a beautiful Liturgy of the Word, celebrated by Fr Rojan. The theme of the liturgy, 'God is Always Present in Our Lives,' reflected the learning Year 3 has been exploring this term. Through prayer, scripture and reflection, students shared how God created us in His image, calls us to build loving relationships with Him and one another, and reminds us that the Holy Spirit is always with us to guide and strengthen us. Thank you to Fr Rojan for celebrating with us, and congratulations to our Year 3 students for leading such a meaningful and prayerful liturgy.

Student Success! Yesterday, the school received an email with an invitation for Lucas B in Year 5 to attend the Wanderers Pre-Academy Development Program. This intensive 10 week program could potentially see Lucas being selected for the 2027 Wanderers Academy Team. Congratulations to Lucas on this amazing achievement!

Year 3 have had an amazing day filled with wonder, awe and exploring as we learnt about our Traditional Custodians, the Dharug People and some of our earliest European Settlers. We also learnt about the land, life and times of our local area, from before Early Settlement through to now. We can't wait to become the teachers and teach you all about everything we learnt and discovered today.
